WE HAVE A LOT TO BE MAD ABOUT. White allies, please don't tell me you "understand," this week. Please don't say anything besides, "you have every right to feel what you're feeling."
Our @29Rooms #ExpandYourReality experience invites you to unlock your imagination, provoke thought, and dare you to dream bigger.✨When we were first dreaming up our theme, we were drawn to @thehoodwitch and knew that her unique #magic would be an essential piece of our space — providing a place of respite for our guests and encouraging people to tap into their own magic.🔮The Hoodwitch was the founded over five years ago by Bri Luna. Started as a play on words and in reference to the curanderas and the wise women in the neighborhood botanicas that Bri grew up in, The Hoodwitch provides everyday magic for the modern mystic.✨”You Are Magic” is a cave of wonders that is a symbolic representation of our light and inner shadows. Accompanied with spoken affirmations, it’s a reminder that we are the mystery of our own creation. Recognize ⭐️YOU ARE MAGIC⭐️ and come experience it yourself this summer on our Expand Your Reality tour!
The justice system officially decided that the officer who literally choked #EricGarner to death will not be charged. His family has been through so much since his death— and while it will NEVER be enough, we send peace and blessing their way. This should not have happened. His life mattered. His daughter’s life mattered. #BlackLivesMatter. #RestInPower ❤️
This week on Hair Me Out, we follow a young woman's natural hair journey. Our model, India, bleaches and shapes up her afro into a fro-hawk for the first time. Press play to watch this gorgeous hair transformation go down!
Tag a Black woman you believe in and tell her to ⛹🏿♀️turn up⛹🏽♀️ on these fools👏🏿🥵.
You know that stereotype that says “you should get a white woman if you want less problems in your relationship”? Well that’s some bullshit. Black women — ALL women deserve to be able to talk about what’s real without being deemed aggressive or problematic. Period.
“PSA 🗣: ‘Black women are for grown ups shows that we are awesome & excellent on our own, in & of our full selves. We matter, regardless. Married or not. Childfree or grandma. Whore & holy. When we affirm that Black women are for grown ups, it means we live as our complex, mighty, vulnerable selves, & we require the same of those with whom we interact.’- Dr. Camika Royal” #R29Regram: @stevie_elem www.stevona.com
